As with any network, you may encounter a glitch or site error that needs addressing. Please contact House of 420 Help Desk via this page or email info@houseof420.com to report a glitch, site error or abuse. You will receive a reply, if needed, within 24 hours.

Reporting Abuse

Question: How do I block a user?

Answer: You can block a user by visiting their profile and click Block User, which will prevent them from contacting you. A link will be provided to confirm blocking the user.

Once a user is blocked you can manage your blocked users by visiting your Profile page and selecting the menu item Manage Blocks.

Question: Someone on your site is bugging/harassing/threatening me - what can I do about it?

Answer: The best thing to do in such a situation is to ignore and block the user. If you do not respond or acknowledge them, it is likely they will leave you alone. Blocking them will also prevent them from contacting you.

If you have been threatened, contact law enforcement immediately.

You are in control of your House of 420 privacy settings

1) Once logged in, click the Profile tab, then Privacy Settings

Here you can choose your privacy settings including:

* Allow Messages from All Users (default) or Friends Only

* Manually approve friend requests (default) or auto-approve your incoming friend requests

* Manually approve each new comment, auto-approve all comments on your site (default) or allow comments from friends, but approve others.

* Allow basic HTML in comments (default) or only plain text comments on your site

2) click Save Settings

Please be sure to complete all the required steps when setting up your House of 420 profile because:

1) You will be visible to visitors when they do a people search on the House of 420.

2) Your profile picture will appear in the new members box on the homepage

So please take your time and complete everything. All steps are required except for creating a blog.

Help people find You & House of 420 by also titling your page and tagging your pictures, videos and blogs.

Titling Your House of 420 Page - making your page search engine friendly

1) Once logged in, click the Profile tab, then Setup Wizard

2) Scroll down and click Site & Privacy Settings - 'Launch' or 'Redo'

3) Where it asks Page Title: enter House of 420, your name, nickname and/or your House of 420 url name (for examples check Katie, Kristin or SexieLadie2008 House of 420 pages)

4) Where it asks Search Keywords: enter House of 420, your name, nickname and/or House of 420 url name

5) click Save Changes

Tag Your Photos, Videos and Blogs - making them search engine friendly

1) Log in to your House of 420 site

2) Tag your pictures with relevant tags. For example, if it's a picture of you with Maroon 5, your tags might be: me(your name), maroon 5, pictures, House of 420 etc.

3) Tag your videos and blogs the same way you tag your pictures. If you're tagging a Lil Wayne rap video, your tags might be: lil, wayne, rap, hip, hop, video, House of 420. After uploading video, it is also recommended that you enter the relevant keywords in the description box.

4) Tag your blog with relevant tags. For example. if you're promoting your band, tag the blog, pix or videos with: your band name(artist name), genre of music (rap, rock etc), videos, playlist, pictures pix, House of 420 etc

Question: What is RSS?

Answer: RSS or Really Simple Syndication, is a group of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds or podcasts.

Many popular websites (ESPN, Rolling Stone etc.) offer these feeds to their users which can be displayed right on your own House of 420 profile page. Stay current on your favorite news, sports, entertainment and more by adding RSS feeds to your House of 420 profile!

Question: How do I add an RSS feed?

Answer: After successfully logging in to your site, select the My Hub tab found along the top of your site. Then select the RSS Feed Manager menu item.

From this screen you can manage all of the RSS feeds that you have added to your blog. You may add, edit or delete feeds.

Simply type in the URL of the RSS feed you wish to add to your My Hub page in the box provided. Next, select how many items from that Feed you wish to be displayed. Hit the green + to add your Feed and you're done! All Feeds added will be displayed on your My Hub.

Question: How do I create a blog post?

Answer: After successfully logging into your House of 420 account, select the Blog tab along the top of your site. Select the Add Blog Post menu option.

You will be prompted to supply a title to your post, a category the post belongs to, and whether you want it to be viewable to anyone, your friends, or kept private.

Photos and videos can be included in a blog post by hitting the Insert Photo, or Insert Video buttons at the bottom of the posting window.
